Summary:
Sorts
electronic equipment recovered and prepares the product for
sale, proper disposal or shipping
by performing
the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Sorts and
records necessary data of electronic equipment.*

Enters
applicable data into a database.*
-
Removes
items such as asset tags, toner and ink jet cartridges from
equipment.*

Labels and
shrink wraps skids for further processing.*
-
Moves skids
and gaylords to appropriate locations.*
-
Performs
clean up including mopping floors, emptying garbage cans and
cleaning restrooms.

Assists
Drivers during customer pick-ups by moving and loading
equipment on to the truck.

Assists
Shipping & Receiving by organizing incoming loads into the
sort area.

Bales
cardboard and plastics, utilizing the baler.
Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
High school
diploma or general education degree (GED).
Language Ability:
Ability to read
and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and
memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to
effectively present information in one-one-one and small group
situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the
organization.
Math Ability:
Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using
whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to
compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar
graphs.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to
apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but
uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with
problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized
situations.
Computer Skills:
To perform this
job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of
proprietary database software.
Equipment:
Hand truck
Protective
equipment such as steel-toed shoes, eye protection, dust mask
and gloves
