Job Description

 

Job Title: Asset Management Technician

Reports To:  Floor Supervisor

FLSA Status:  Non-Exempt

Department:  Recycling

Division:  Asset Management

 

Summary:  Sorts electronic equipment and captures and records product information into a proprietary database and Microsoft Excel by performing the following duties.

 

Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 

 

1.      Sorts and records necessary data of electronic equipment.*

 

2.      Creates reports in per customer needs such as scanning serial numbers and removing hard drives.*

 

3.      Creates Microsoft Excel Spreadsheets from a proprietary database.*

 

4.      Labels and shrink wraps skids for further processing.*

 

5.      Enters applicable data into database.*

 

6.      Moves skids and gaylords to appropriate locations.*

 

7.      Removes items such as asset tags, toner and ink jet cartridges from equipment.*

 

8.      Performs clean up including mopping floors, emptying garbage cans and cleaning restrooms.

 

9.      Assists Drivers during customer pick-ups by moving and loading equipment on to the truck.

 

10.  Assists Shipping & Receiving by organizing incoming loads into the sort area.

 

11.  Bales cardboard and plastics, utilizing the baler.

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED).

 


 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information in one-one-one and small group situations, to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

 

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

 

Equipment:

Hand truck

Barcode scanner

Protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, eye protection, dust mask and gloves
